The Orpheus CS design continues the unique concept of Audes’s legendary floor-standing loudspeakers Orpheus. The high frequency driver is completely isolated from the speaker body in a separate vibration reducing streamlined enclosure. The unique driver placement for low- and midrange drivers creates optimised results with the maximum sound reproduction in complex musical compositions and elaborate sound tracks. The crossover network, placed in a separate section, protects its components from the influence of acoustic oscillations. Rich, colourful and coherent lower frequency sound is being produced by Audes’s own 6½” woofers. Paper cone woofer of Audes’s own production featuring a powerful oversized magnet in addition to a rigid aluminium basket contributes to reproduction of a powerful and accurate bass. An accurate and precise placement can be achieved with special tuning spikes.
